… Woah. Holy fucking shit. I keep this species.
I have to say, you do NOT handle Bluetongues like that. Also, the mouth scales are lifted, which can signal the onset of a bacterial or fungal infection in this individual, or the lack of a certain vitamin. Also, while you’re talking about not handling the tail, it helps NOT to fucking handle the god damn tail every two seconds.
wow the only thing worse that could happen in this video is if the tail falls off when she is talking about not holding its tail, she was like pulling the god damned thing off
Wow… this video was crappy… mostly because it’s really not a vid at all… but a large paragraph over someone that doesn’t seem to know how to hold the animal they’re trying to teach people how to properly care for… lame…
Very informative, thank you. But the other commenters do have a point. You aren’t holding her correctly. What do Blue tongued skinks eat?
mmm that blue tongue looks so healthy with what looks like mouth rot and probly fucked up back cuz this bitch doesnt know how to hold it… and some one tell me if im wrong but i dont think blue tongues skinks tails are supposed to come off…
Man, skinks are cool, but they’re shaped so WEIRD! Their head is huge, their arms are tiny, and their back legs are WAAAY far behind. They’re like limoes….
Wow way to scare the crap out of it by holding it wrong!
@SpitfireMK22, Australia only has 6 States…and 2 Territory s, the ACT aaand Northern Territory
tasmanian is so not apart of aus..it floated away yrs ago and a few imbred ppl live there now..with the nice skinks
lol I thought that’s maybe one weird, gross country somewhere in South Africa or sth
i saids shes eating vegies now i just needed to put a little bit of crickets on top of it and she ate thnx anyway
@luketuskes make a vegetable paste, give your skink apple sauce so it can slurp it, try giving your skink cooked (cold) veg like carrots, broccoli, mashed turnip ..and also chopped cherries and bananas
good luck.
americans shouldnt have aussie reptiles…….
thats probably a hybrid, retards
thanx yer hes eating her vegies it just took her awhile thanx 4 the advice
I hope expertvillage realises that Tasmainia is a part of Australia. Its one of its 7 states.
poor skink she should learn how to handle a adult blue tongue dont make care videos if you dont know wat ur doing poor poor blue tongue
try getting some organic catfood (EVE or Wellness) and mix just a little bit in with the veggies to get him to eat them but DONT use seafood catfood, anything but seafood is fine
Good God, I really wish she wouldn’t finish every freakin sentance on a high note! Man I would hate to live with her if she talks like that all the time…
1:15 “LET ME GOOO ARADSF!”
Oh god i feel sorry for that lizard…
your screwed the people that had it before didnt give it veggies so it doesnt like em cause it didnt devolp taste
i got my blue tongue a week ago and ive tried to give him vegetables but he doesnt eat them does anyone no how to get blue tongues to eat vegetables????
that lizard hates you haha
I think she actually handled it very well. She could make it feel more secure by keeping its feet on her hands, but other than that, it really depends on what variant it is. Some types of Bluetongue are very docile; some will be skittish, some are downright aggressive.
She could’ve done without wiggling the tail around so much too, but other than that, I didn’t think it was*that* bad.
im gettin a beardie and a blue tounge skink at the repti expo for my b day
